Lives en works in The Hague

Pim Velthuizen makes multi layered resin objects. They are inspired by the ideas in Eastern mysticism about the boundless universe, in which everything is full of life. Everything is in motion and constantly changing and developing.

In his works he tries to capture a particle of this boundlessness. Therefore he sometimes calls his works Enclosed Infinities.

His resin objects consist of several transparent layers that interact dynamically. He incorporates various media such as ceramic balls, minerals, organic materials and paint. The viewer can look at the objects from different angles and discover new details.

Pim Velthuizen made his debut at the KunstRAI in Amsterdam in 2018 with a solo presentation at Galerie de Roos van Tudor in Leeuwarden.
